The ADAPTIVE Communication Environment (ACE^(TM))

ACE is an object-oriented (OO) open-source framework for concurrent communications programming. While this is not a Nevelex project, we are offering prebuilt binaries packaged as RPMs for some systems. The official web site is http://www.cs.wustl.edu/~schmidt/ACE.html.

mrouted

mrouted is an implementation of the DVMRP multicast routing protocol. It turns a UNIX workstation into a DVMRP multicast router with tunnel support, in order to cross non-multicast-aware routers. A couple of useful Multicast Linux HOWTOs are:

We originally obtained the source from ftp://ftp.research.att.com/dist/fenner/mrouted/. However, this source will not compile on the first attempt on Linux kernel versions of 2.4.X. The file, defs.h, needed to be modified to compile without errors.
