Our research focus is on specialized networking technologies. Our current work include High Performance Networking technologies that enable large-scale Distributed and Grid Computing applications; Power-aware and Context-aware data processing solutions for Wireless Ad Hoc Networking; and flexible, robust, and highly scalable key management infrastructures that make Secure Group Communications possible.

Our High Performance Networking research is influenced by advances in Active Networking, but eliminates the associated security concerns. Active networking extends the capabilities of data communication networks in new ways to enable innovative services.

The promise of Ad Hoc Networking is ubiquitous and transparent connectivity. We are engaged in research of power-aware routing and data querying techniques.

Our work in Secure Group Communications enables collaborating groups of heterogeneous entities (stationary and mobile devices operating over a variety of communication links, ranging from optical fiber to satellite) to efficiently manage secure data exchange.

We are involved in military communications research that poses stringent requirements and systemic challenges.

In the commercial space, our work emphasizes the use of off-the-shelf components and standards-compliant technology to enable exciting new applications.
