 Research & Development - Ad Hoc Networking
The promise of ad hoc networking technology is twofold -
- Pervasive, transparent connectivity for a variety of mobile
applications.
- Creation of ambience-aware systems through distributed
sensor networks.
Adoption of this promising technology depends on the emergence
of a new breed of power-efficient devices and light weight
and power-aware data processing and routing protocols. Our
work with power-aware data processing and routing protocols
aspires to help achieve this goal. In concert with our
collaborators,
we are developing technology that will enable the next generation
of mobile applications and sensor networks.
